How should a woman act while in a state of ritual impurity (junub) if it is difficult to perform a daily ritual bath (ghusl) for fear of illness, taking into consideration that she works outside the home?

For the prayer to be valid, purity from both minor and major ritual impurity is required. Major ritual impurity necessitates a full ritual bath (ghusl), which involves washing the entire body with water, including rinsing the mouth and sniffing water into the nose, and ensuring water reaches the roots of the hair. For a woman with braided hair, it is eased for her not to undo her braids; it suffices for her to squeeze them under the water. If a woman's going out prevents her from fulfilling a religious obligation, such as performing ghusl from janabah (major ritual impurity), then her going out is prohibited. However, if frequent ghusl causes her illness, then if the illness is tolerable (like a common cold), there is no excuse to abandon ghusl. But if the illness is severe and could damage an organ, then she should wash her entire body and wipe over the affected area until she recovers.
