Is the woman who strives to abandon hatred rewarded, despite the occasional presence of some hatred?

Man is a weak being who may be drawn towards evil, but the element of goodness moves him towards repentance. This requires striving against the self and desires, for the greater jihad is the struggle against the self. Acts of the heart, such as abandoning envy and arrogance, are obligatory and take precedence over supererogatory acts of worship, because the heart is the foundation of the body's righteousness. Both inner and outer actions support each other. Malice (hatred) is rancor and holding enmity in the heart. It is reprehensible in Islamic law if it is without a just cause, and it dissipates with gifts and handshakes. However, malice towards an oppressor or a harmful disbeliever whose harm cannot be repelled is not reprehensible, and it is permissible to take one's right from an oppressor.
