How do we differentiate between the perfection of God and the perfection of creatures, given that some creatures are described as perfect, such as the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, despite the fact that perfection belongs to God alone?

Absolute perfection is exclusive to the Lord — glorified and exalted be He — and He is the One in whom there is no deficiency whatsoever. As for the perfection of the created being, it is a relative perfection compared to its genus, and it is tainted with deficiency when compared to the absolute perfection of Allah. Ibn Taymiyyah stated, "There is no perfection but there is a higher perfection above it, and the absolute perfection, beyond which there is no limit, belongs to Allah, blessed and most high." Thus, the relative perfection of the created being necessitates deficiency, unlike the perfection of the Lord, in whom there is no deficiency. The attributes of Lordship, such as transcendence, majesty, and self-praise, are commendable perfection for the Lord and reprehensible deficiency for the created being.
