Is seeking help from family to return to one's husband after a revocable divorce, and attempting to persuade them on behalf of the husband, or clarifying some differences, considered disobedience to the husband's command to refrain from discussing this matter with them? Does this contradict reliance upon Allah? What should I do to please my husband and return to his home?

A wife's obedience to her husband is limited to matters related to marriage and its ancillary affairs. It is permissible for the wife to seek help from the husband's family or others to reconcile between her and him, as this is an effort towards good and does not contradict reliance on Allah. However, informing the family might complicate the problem; therefore, another means of reconciliation should be sought if that is likely to be the case, while increasing supplication.
