Social media designs and posts that encourage the remembrance of Allah and warn against heedlessness can be divided into two types: The first is permissible, which alerts to the remembrance of Allah or a permissible form of remembrance with the aim of reminding and admonishing, and supports its message with a verse, a hadith, or a scholar's saying. The second type is that which contains religious violations and innovations (bid'ah), such as specifying particular remembrances for the month of the Prophet's birth or certain numbers, or obligating specific formulations not found in the Sharia, or supplicating against those who do not comply. This type is considered an innovation (bid'ah); because acts of worship are prescriptive (tawqifiyyah) and follow the Sunnah. A Muslim should advise those who commit such violations with wisdom and gentleness, and if unable, then they should publish a general alert clarifying the religious ruling.
