What are the effects of astrology on the individual and society?

Among the most important duties for a servant after believing in Allah and His Messenger is honoring one's parents, treating them with kindness, and obeying them in matters that do not involve disobedience (to Allah), especially the mother, as her right is more emphasized. For this reason, Allah has made disobedience to them one of the gravest major sins, and merely expressing annoyance towards them is forbidden.

If parents permit their son to leave the house, this does not waive their right to his dutifulness and kindness. Rather, he must be keen to maintain communication with them, inquire about their well-being, and readily serve them to the best of his ability, for this pleases Allah, the Almighty.

If the son is not negligent in communicating with his parents through visits or calls, especially if he spends most of his time seeking religious knowledge, then there is no blame upon him; rather, he will be rewarded and recompensed, particularly if his mother blesses his pursuit of knowledge.

However, in this case, he must be keen to maintain ties of kinship with his parents, by visiting them or contacting them, even if periodically, because this is an act of dutifulness, especially if his mother requests it from him.

It is preferable for the son to return to his family if he is studying in a country close to them, unless there is a benefit in his studying in a distant country, or if the situation has already been settled as such, while taking into account the importance of honoring one's parents.
