Is it permissible to stipulate that lawful wealth should not be a temptation that distances one from obedience to Allah?

Among the etiquettes of supplication (du'a) are that the Muslim supplicates to his Lord with longing and awe, with humility, hopeful of His bounty, neither transgressing nor despairing, and that the supplication be sincerely for Allah the Almighty. It is recommended to seek out times and states when supplications are answered, such as noble times, during prostration (sujud), and between the adhan and iqamah. A Muslim should ask Allah for all his needs, even the most minute, including seeking lawful provision (rizq al-halal), along with the supplication that wealth not be a trial.
