What is the most appropriate procedure to protect a student in a Quranic study circle from unwanted advances, given that he does not show resistance to these attempts?

One must differentiate between illusions and expectations, and what is truly feared to occur. Not everyone who befriends someone younger than them is ill-intentioned, unless they are known for bad character. In such a case, the following actions can be taken:

1. Alerting the parents and urging them to increase their caution, attention, and monitoring of their son's behavior, and to try to get to know his friends. 2. Explaining the danger of associating with such individuals in a convincing manner, emphasizing the necessity of staying away from them, and enlightening him about the intentions of some of them. 3. Clarifying the rulings related to 'awrah (intimate parts) and the obligation to preserve them, the obligation to lower the gaze, and the caution against associating with bad friends. 4. Addressing those youths and advising them, explaining the scholars' warnings against associating with beardless youths (amrad) and the danger of looking at them, and the impermissibility of looking with lust at the beautiful face of a beardless youth. Some scholars even went so far as to prohibit looking at them absolutely. Al-Nawawi said: "Its proof is that he is like a woman in meaning; he is desired just as she is desired, and his beauty is like that of a woman. Indeed, many of them might be more beautiful than many women. Furthermore, their prohibition is even greater for another reason: that ways of evil can be committed with them that cannot be committed in the same way with a woman." And Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said: "Whoever repeatedly looks at a beardless youth or similar, or persists in it, and says: 'I am not looking with lust,' is disbelieved in that. For if there is no compelling reason to look, then the looking is only for the pleasure it brings to the heart. As for a sudden glance, it is forgiven if one turns away their gaze." 5. If none of this is effective, and the fear persists, then advise his family to transfer him to another circle to distance him from those corrupt individuals.
