Is it permissible for a pilgrim who has obtained a "seasonal worker" visa to change his ihram garments after reaching the miqat and wear regular clothes to pass through checkpoints, then resume wearing ihram after reaching Mina, with the possibility of wearing sewn clothes over the ihram?

It is forbidden for a male in a state of ihram to wear sewn garments, by the consensus of the people of knowledge. However, if he is compelled to do so, there is no sin upon him, but he is required to offer a fidyah (expiation), which is at his discretion: either fasting for three days, or feeding six poor persons, or sacrificing a sheep.
