Is it permissible to adopt a fatwa that permits a woman to wear tight trousers, knowing that some of its proponents have errors in creed, such as the permissibility of توسل (seeking intercession), even though Islamweb cites them in other fatwas?

The ruling on a woman wearing trousers has been explained, and it was mentioned that what was attributed to the Egyptian Dar al-Ifta concerning the permissibility of wearing body-fitting trousers is incorrect. The Dar al-Ifta has in fact issued a fatwa against it, instead permitting only wide and loose trousers that fulfill the conditions of proper covering (ستر). Similarly, it was mistakenly attributed to Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar Al-Haytami that he permitted it, whereas trousers were not common attire for women in his time. As for taking knowledge from Ibn Hajar Al-Haytami despite his doctrinal errors, it is because he is one of the great jurists through whom Allah benefited people. His falling into errors does not mean abandoning his knowledge, for if every scholar who erred were abandoned, then no knowledge would be taken from anyone, as Imam Al-Dhahabi mentioned.
