Which is better and more rewarding: completing the recitation of the Qur’an every four days while frequently reciting "Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad" (Say: He is Allah, the One) and performing supererogatory prayers, or completing it every three days while frequently reciting "Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad" and performing supererogatory prayers, but to a lesser extent?

"Praying frequently is better than merely reading [Qur'an] and engaging in dhikr, because salat encompasses both. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'And know that the best of your deeds is prayer.' Completing the Qur'an in three or four days is a righteous deed for which a servant is rewarded. However, the reading should be done with contemplation, and it should not distract one from other important duties and rights. The matter varies from person to person: whoever contemplates and deduces meanings should read according to their understanding; whoever is busy with knowledge or the affairs of Muslims should read to an extent that does not compromise their duties; otherwise, let them read as much as possible without boredom or excessive haste."
