Is the repentance of one who has repeatedly committed sodomy in the past accepted if he repents after learning of its prohibition and punishment, but is unable to lower his gaze from women in the street? And is this considered to mean that his repentance is invalid, or valid but incomplete?

If you repent sincerely and regret homosexual acts (liwat), then Allah will accept your repentance, for He, the Most High, says: "And it is He who accepts repentance from His servants and pardons sins," and because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The one who repents from sin is like one who has no sin." Have a good opinion of Allah and strive in acts of obedience. And also repent from looking at women, for the validity of your repentance from homosexual acts (liwat) is not affected by your persistence in another sin, but you must repent from all sins.
