The answer

The Quran is a cure for ailments of the hearts and bodies. There is no specific limit to seeking healing through it; the more a servant recites it with حضور قلب (presence of heart) and تدبر (contemplation), the more they will attain their desired healing, by Allah's permission. Furthermore, reciting the Quran with contemplation and understanding removes the illnesses of desires, as it contains teachings that promote asceticism towards this world and encourage the afterlife. To recover from the illness of desires, seek help by contemplating the insignificance and impermanence of this world, and that unlawful desires will be forgotten upon entering Hell. Contemplate the permanence and everlasting nature of the afterlife, and that complete pleasure is found in Paradise, for this world is a dwelling of tribulation. Make yourself feel that Allah Almighty is watching you, and take from lawful desires what suffices you from the unlawful, and strive to guard your thoughts.
