Is it permissible to inform colleagues and friends about spending on family as a reason for having little money, in order to avoid accusations of stinginess and miserliness?

Spending on needy parents and siblings is among the greatest acts of worship. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about the best deeds, and he mentioned, among them, "dutifulness to parents." Nevertheless, a Muslim must maintain balance and strive to increase their provision, because "a strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than a weak believer." There is no harm in dispelling people's ill suspicions about oneself, without exaggeration.
