Is it permissible to perform istinja' with water over which Quran has been recited?

It is not permissible to use water over which the Quran has been recited for istinja' (washing after defecation or urination); this is due to the disrespect it entails towards the Book of Allah, and because it indicates a lack of veneration and purification of the Quran. The water used for washing flows into drains and latrines, so the water of the Quran must be kept pure from such places. However, it is not disliked to drink it for healing purposes.
