Is there a contradiction between the Hadith of Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman and the Hadith of al-Zubayr ibn al-Awwam—both of which are authentic—concerning who brought news of the enemy on the Day of the Confederates (Ahzab), especially since books of سیرah (biographies of the Prophet) mention that Hudhayfah was the one whom the Prophet commanded to do so?

Ibn Hajar mentioned that the stories of Zubair and Hudhayfah were different: Zubair's story was for scouting Banu Qurayzah to see if they had broken the covenant, and Zubair went three times to gather information. As for Hudhayfah's story, it was on the night of Al-Ahzab (the Confederates) when the Prophet, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, sent him to scout for news of Quraysh after the siege and cold intensified. The Prophet, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, told him not to do anything until he returned to him. Hudhayfah saw Abu Sufyan ordering departure, and heard the sound of the wind destroying their tents, then he returned to inform the Prophet, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, about that.
