What is the authenticity of the hadith about Al-Zubayr and the other man whom the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent on the night of Al-Ahzab, and then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) brought them into Umm Salamah's wrap (mirt), and they clung to her, as mentioned by Imam Ibn Hajar in his book "Al-Matalib Al-Aliyah"?

The mentioned report was narrated by Ishaq ibn Rahawayh with a chain of narrators whose reliability is established, except that it is a mursal (discontinued) narration because Urwah ibn Az-Zubayr did not live during the prophetic era. It has been narrated with a connected chain in which there is Ishaq ibn Idris, who is abandoned in hadith and narrates objectionable hadith. Thus, the correct status of the report is irsal (discontinuation).

Some exploit this report to raise doubts about the presence of two men with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and Umm Salamah under one mirt (cloak). This doubt is negated for two reasons: 1. The more authentic narrations, such as Muslim's narration from Hudhayfah, did not mention Umm Salamah, but rather stated that the garment belonged to one of his wives and that Hudhayfah was the other man. 2. Even if Urwah's mursal narration mentioning Umm Salamah were authentic, the incident occurred on the night of the Battle of Al-Ahzab (the Confederates) while the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was on guard at the trench, and he was not in his house. On that extremely cold night, it is probable that Umm Salamah came to visit him and sat beside him for warmth, then Az-Zubayr and the other man sat down, and he extended a corner of the garment to them. This sitting in the darkness of the night, in intense cold, and while being on guard against the enemy, along with the Prophet's separation between his wife and the two men, does not raise any suspicion.

In conclusion: The report is mursal, and even if it were authentic with the mention of Umm Salamah, the incident occurred while the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was on guard during the Battle of the Trench due to the severe cold and necessity.
