Why were adultery, befriending the opposite sex, immodest dress, a small amount of alcohol, and bank interest forbidden, despite the desire to enjoy life?

Adultery is forbidden because it brings deadly diseases, spreads hatred, causes crimes, mixes lineages, and destroys chastity. It brings God's wrath and punishment. God has ordained severe punishments for it in this world and the hereafter, as stated in the noble verses from Surat Al-Furqan and in the Prophet's vision (peace be upon him). Friendship between sexes is forbidden, as is the exposure of women's awrah (intimate parts), because it often leads to adultery. Alcohol is forbidden because it causes intoxication. Wine is forbidden by the text of the Qur'an, and the command to abstain implies prohibition. A small amount of it is forbidden because the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "That of which a large amount intoxicates, a small amount of it is forbidden." The prohibition of bank interest has five reasons: taking a person's money without compensation, discouraging people from engaging in honest earnings, severing kindness among people, enabling the rich to take additional money from the poor, and finally, the Qur'anic text that established the prohibition of usury.
