Is frankincense the incense of angels?

It is impermissible to call frankincense or any other incense "Angelic Incense." This is a common belief among some ordinary people and charlatans who claim that fumigating with it attracts angels and repels devils. The truth is that what attracts angels is the remembrance of Allah and the recitation of the Qur'an, and angels are bothered by foul odors. Furthermore, incense is often used by charlatans who deal with devils.
