The answer

The marital home is a sacred place, and Allah has commanded both spouses to preserve it. The wife, in particular, has been entrusted with safeguarding this home. The Prophet (peace be upon him) permitted the wife not to allow anyone into the marital home except with her husband's permission.

If the husband explicitly permits his wife to allow a specific person, her mahārim (unmarriageable kin), or if his permission is general, then she is allowed to do so by the consensus of scholars. If the husband remains silent, the wife should act based on what she predominantly believes the husband would not object to, such as mahārim and women. However, for someone whose entry the husband dislikes, she is not permitted to allow them in. If the husband explicitly states his dislike for a specific person's entry, then it is forbidden for her to permit them.

However, the husband does not have the right to prevent the wife's parents and her mahārim from visiting her, as this would constitute severing kinship ties, unless he predominantly believes their visit causes harm or they seek to corrupt the relationship between the spouses. In such a case, he may prevent them to ward off mischief.
