What is the fate of one who does not adhere to religion?

Islam is the true religion of Allah, brought by all prophets and messengers. Allah created humankind and subjected the universe to them, commanding them to follow His law. Faith bestows happiness and security in this world and the Hereafter, while disbelief leads to misery and torment.

Among the consequences of disbelief: 1. Fear and Insecurity: The disbeliever lives in constant fear and anxiety about their fate and their worldly and otherworldly afflictions. 2. A Life of Hardship: The disbeliever finds their life filled with worries and sorrows, even if they possess every means of comfort, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: "And whoever turns away from My remembrance – indeed, for him is a life of hardship." 3. Conflict with Self and the Universe: The disbeliever lives in conflict with their innate nature, which was created upon monotheism, and with the universe that submits to its Creator; they are a discordant note in this harmonious system. 4. Ignorance: Disbelief is the highest degree of ignorance, as the disbeliever is ignorant of their Lord who created them and perfected the universe around them. 5. Injustice: The disbeliever is unjust to themselves by worshipping other than Allah, and unjust to those around them because they do not give rights to their rightful owners. 6. Allah's Wrath and Displeasure in this World: The disbeliever is exposed to calamities and disasters as an immediate punishment from Allah. 7. Disappointment and Loss: The disbeliever loses the knowledge of Allah and intimacy with Him, lives a miserable life, and loses themselves and their family in this world and the Hereafter, and their destiny is the Fire. 8. Ingratitude and Denial: The disbeliever denies the blessings of Allah that He has bestowed upon them and worships others. 9. Deprivation of True Life: The disbeliever does not know their purpose or destiny and lives like animals; rather, they are more astray in path. 10. Eternity in Torment: The disbeliever moves from the torment of this world to the torment of the grave, and then to the severe torment of the Fire on the Day of Resurrection, where they will abide eternally.
