Is not fully adhering to the hijab, listening to music, and occasionally watching television, while maintaining other acts of obedience, considered hypocrisy that requires a serious self-assessment?

Listening to the Quran, attending religious lessons, and observing regular prayers are acts of worship that increase faith and can be a cause for adhering to the lawful hijab and abandoning forbidden acts. Among the things that help in repenting from sins are:

1. Righteous companionship and befriending committed individuals.

2. Reading the Holy Quran, the biography of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the lives of the righteous.

3. Acquiring beneficial knowledge and gaining deep understanding of the religion.

4. Being mindful of God, and remembering death, the Hereafter, Paradise, and Hellfire.

5. Reflecting on the ugliness, ill effects, and consequences of sin, especially listening to music, for it is the flute of Satan, engenders hypocrisy, and leads to evil.

Finally, it is recommended to wear the lawful hijab and avoid ostentation and immodest display, for these invite temptation and incur God's wrath.
