What is the ruling on a woman praying with makeup on her face if she has adorned herself with it in her home and the time for prayer arrives?

If makeup is applied after performing ablution (wudu'), or before it without preventing water from reaching the skin, then there is no harm in it, provided it is not made from an impure substance. However, if it is applied before ablution and prevents water from reaching the skin, then it must be removed for the ablution to be valid. Similarly, if it is impure, then prayer is not valid unless it is removed and its place is purified with water.
