Is it permissible to request a house for dwelling from the wealthy, whether for ownership or as a loan? And is requesting accommodation as a loan, and vacating it when the owner asks, considered among the forbidden types of requests?

Borrowing a house for residence is permissible in Islamic law, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, borrowed a horse and coats of mail. Lending is commendable, and it may become obligatory in cases of necessity. As for asking for ownership (تمليك) for someone who is not in need, it is forbidden. For abundant sustenance, there are reasons, among them: obedience to Allah and His piety, and striving on earth to seek sustenance while relying on Allah.
