What is the authenticity of the narration mentioned about Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), and his story with Nafi' concerning his adorning himself for his wife, and his deriving evidence from the saying of Allah the Almighty: "And due to them [the wives] is a similar [amount of] what is expected from them, according to what is reasonable"?

We have not found the complete narration mentioned. However, it is narrated that Ibn 'Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "I like to adorn myself for my wife, just as I like my wife to adorn herself for me; because of the Almighty's saying: {And due to them is similar to what is expected from them, according to what is reasonable} [Al-Baqarah: 228]. And I do not like to fully exact my right from her; because of the Almighty's saying: {But men have a degree over them} [Al-Baqarah: 228]."
