Is the disobedient Muslim given glad tidings of Paradise at his death, like the believer who is given such tidings after his answers are accepted in the grave and he sees his abode therein?

The Quranic verses clarify that the righteous believer is given glad tidings of Paradise upon death, as Allah Almighty says: "Those whom the angels take in death, being pure, [the angels] say, 'Peace be upon you; enter Paradise for what you used to do,'" and "Receive good tidings of Paradise, which you used to be promised." As for the disobedient, they may not receive these glad tidings at death; rather, they may enter Hell to be purified before entering Paradise, or they may be purified in the Barzakh (interim period) or on the Day of Resurrection through seeking forgiveness, repentance, expiating good deeds, or expiating calamities, and through the intercession of intercessors. A Muslim should strive to purify themselves and make sincere repentance to avoid punishment in the Barzakh or the Hereafter.
