What are the most powerful legitimate (Shar'i) ways to relieve immense tribulation that no one can imagine?

One of the most important ways to ward off affliction is repentance to Allah Almighty, for a servant is afflicted by his sins. Also, seeking forgiveness is a great door to good. Allah Almighty says: "And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continual] showers And give you increase in wealth and children and make for you gardens and make for you rivers.'" Among them is adhering to the piety of Allah Almighty, resorting to patience, and the greatest of them is diligently making supplication and doing so frequently, especially during times when prayers are answered.
