Is a girl considered disobedient to her father if she becomes angry and describes him as failing in his duties, or as breaking her belongings and damaging things in the house, given his refusal to spend on his wife and children, and the resulting tense atmosphere in the home?

A daughter telling her father that he is not fulfilling his duty of providing for his wife, and her anger over his damaging of some belongings, is not considered disobedience (ʿuqūq), provided it is done respectfully and without abuse. As for the daughter mentioning this to other people, if it is for the purpose of seeking help and advice, there is no harm in it. Otherwise, it is forbidden backbiting (ghībah), and its sin is magnified if it is against a parent. Furthermore, a parent's right is great and is not negated by righteous conduct and good companionship, even if the parent acts wrongly.
