Is it permissible for a husband to house his second wife in the same home as his first wife, given his aversion to the first, and is this considered a hardship upon her?

If the intention to combine between two wives would cause distress and embarrassment to the first wife, then it is not permissible except with her consent. It is forbidden for the husband to intentionally harm his wife, because it is oppression, and he is commanded to treat her kindly. Allah Almighty said: (And live with them honorably).
