Is a wife's request for divorce, because her husband chose to travel abroad with his friends instead of her, considered haram, preventing her from smelling the scent of Paradise?

A wife does not have the right to prevent her husband from traveling abroad, and this is not a justification for her to seek a divorce. If she does so, she is sinful, and she may fall under the threat mentioned in the Hadith: "Any woman who asks her husband for divorce without any harm (justification) will be forbidden the scent of Paradise." She must repent. It is a wife's right that her husband should not be absent from her for more than six months without her permission.

If a husband divorces his pregnant wife, the divorce is valid and correct by scholarly consensus. If it is not the third divorce, the husband has the right to take his wife back as long as she is within her waiting period (iddah) without a new contract. If the waiting period expires, then a new contract and dowry are required.
