Should the Witr prayer be made up with the Duha prayer or with the Dhuhr prayer?

Scholars differed regarding making up the Witr prayer for one who missed it until dawn. The majority of them hold that it should be made up before the Fajr prayer. Others, and this is the relied-upon view of the Shafi'is and the preponderant one, went to the permissibility of making it up at any time, day or night, due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever sleeps through his Witr or forgets it, let him pray it when he remembers it." There are other opinions, including what was held by Al-Sha'bi, 'Ata', Al-Hasan, Tawus, Mujahid, and Ibn 'Umar, that making it up is permissible as long as the sun has not passed the meridian (Dhuhr time). And another is the permissibility of making it up during the day whenever one remembers it. Two sayings are reported from Al-Awza'i: The first is that it should not be made up after dawn until the sun rises, and it can be made up during the day until Asr, but not after it. The second is that it should be made up between Maghrib and Isha, and not after Isha, so as not to combine two Witr prayers in one night.
