What is the meaning of the Hadith "May Allah curse the one who drinks before the one who asks for it," and what is the extent of its authenticity?

The aforementioned hadith, "May Allah curse the drinker before the seeker," has no basis, and it is not permissible to attribute it to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. It is incumbent upon a Muslim to verify what is attributed to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, for lying about him is not like lying about other people.
