Is it permissible to visit old friends in the presence of the husband and wife while adhering to the Islamic dress code, and is this permissible after the Egyptian Dar Al-Ifta's fatwa of permissibility?

The criterion for prohibited mixing (ikhtilat) is the gathering of men and women without adhering to শরিয়াহ-compliant regulations, such as physical contact, ostentatious display of adornment (tabarruj), or women speaking in a soft, enticing manner. However, merely gathering while adhering to শরিয়াহ-compliant regulations is permissible. The Prophet (peace be upon him) visited some women, and his Companions also visited them. Therefore, there is no objection to a visit if there is no illicit private seclusion (khalwa), if women observe their শরিয়াহ-compliant hijab, if there is no soft, enticing speech or departure from proper manners, and if there is no fear of temptation (fitna). If temptation is present, then the matter falls within the domain of prohibition.
