Is it permissible to prevent one's wife from visiting her second-degree relatives (other than parents and siblings) to avoid her being seen by non-mahram men at occasions where the Islamic dress code is not observed?

A husband has the right to prevent his wife from going out for an unlawful purpose or to a place that raises suspicion. He must also obligate her to wear the legal hijab in front of non-mahram men, whether they are her relatives, his relatives, or others. It is not permissible for him to allow her to display her adornments in front of any of them, because it is the husband's duty to uphold the limits of Allah in his home, given the guardianship Allah has granted him over her.
