Whoever becomes aware of this must denounce it with their hand, tongue, or heart, according to their ability, while observing gentleness in advice and supplicating for their guidance. If they do not desist, they should be shunned (boycotted) if shunning will deter them and benefit them. Otherwise, shunning should be abandoned if there is fear that it will increase their obstinacy and corruption, because shunning must consider the aspects of benefit and harm.
