What is the ruling on watching a TV series that includes a mistaken understanding of Allah's law?

Most television series are not free of forbidden things such as music and immodest display, and may include mockery of the Sharia, which is impermissible even in jest, as Allah Almighty says: "And if you ask them, they will surely say, 'We were only indulging in idle talk and play.' Say, 'Is it Allah and His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?' Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after your belief." Therefore, it is not permissible to watch this type of series, because a Muslim's time is too precious to waste on what is not beneficial.
