Is the meaning mentioned by Ibn al-Jawzi for the Siddiqin (the truthful/sincere ones) in "Sayd al-Khatir" – that they "do nothing except for the sake of Allah, otherwise they abandon it" – the correct meaning of the word Siddiqin as it appears in His Almighty's saying: ((And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger – those will be with those upon whom Allah has bestowed favor of the prophets, the Siddiqin…))? And is this rank the highest after prophethood? And is it possible to attain it in this era?

Siddiqiyah is the perfection of faith in what the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, brought, in terms of knowledge, affirmation, and practice. It is the highest rank after prophethood and is not exclusive to the Companions. Rather, it can be attained in every age by whoever is characterized by its descriptions, for they are the inheritors of the Messengers and their successors in their nations, and those who uphold what they were sent with in terms of knowledge, action, and دعوت (calling to Allah).
