What is the religious ruling regarding a husband who prioritizes the desires of his mother (who prefers to go out with him despite having other children) over his time with his wife and children?

The mother's right is great, and honoring her is one of the best acts of drawing closer to Allah. Therefore, the husband's eagerness to honor and obey his mother is one of his good qualities. However, if the house is desolate and you are harmed by staying in it alone, it is not permissible for your husband to leave you unless he brings a woman to keep you company, because part of good companionship is that a husband should not leave his wife alone without an excuse. If the husband's going out with his mother is not obligatory, then he should alternate with his brothers, and he must combine honoring his mother with good companionship towards his wife.
