Is it permissible to wear a red handbag or red shoes, and is this considered part of beautifying one's attire?

There is no harm in a red bag or red sandals. Rather, scholars have differed regarding the permissibility and dislike of wearing red garments. Those who permitted it cited what is narrated in the Two Sahihs: "Indeed, the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, wore a red hulla (suit)."
