What should one do who suffers from the feeling of showing off (riyaa') in their acts of worship - especially prayer - due to the fanaticism of their father and relatives, and how can they get rid of this feeling to enjoy the sweetness of worship without anyone's intrusion? And what is the difference between riyaa' (showing off) and nifaq (hypocrisy)?

Your father's command for you to pray is not fanaticism; rather, it is a kindness from him and an obedience to Allah Almighty's command in His saying: {And enjoin prayer upon your family}. If you are keen on performing prayer and fear showing off, then there is no showing off in your worship; rather, it is a whisper from Satan, so turn away from it.

Showing off (riya') is performing an action for people to see, while hypocrisy (nifaq) is outwardly displaying faith while inwardly concealing disbelief. Every hypocrite is a show-off, but not every show-off is a hypocrite.
