Is it forbidden for a father to watch news programs that contain music, naked women, and advertisements, given that he says he does not watch them for arousal but rather to know what is happening in the world?

A Muslim must lower his gaze and refrain from listening to what Allah Almighty has forbidden. Therefore, it is not permissible for him to listen to music and look at unveiled women under the pretext of following the news. If he needs to do so, he must lower his gaze from what is forbidden to look at and not listen to the accompanying music. He should also advise his father with gentleness, kindness, and respect, for this does not contradict his dutifulness. The rights of parents to dutifulness, respect, benevolence, and obedience in what is right do not cease, even if they act improperly.
