What is the supplication that helps in getting rid of excessive laughter and rheumatoid arthritis?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Excessive laughter hardens the heart and distracts a Muslim from reflection and devotion. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, warned against it, saying: "Do not laugh excessively, for excessive laughter deadens the heart." There is no specific supplication to cure this, but one can supplicate as they wish, asking for a humble heart and a tongue that remembers Allah. It is recommended to recite the Quran and to frequently engage in the remembrance of Allah and supplicate to Him. To cure illness, the guidance of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was to recite Al-Mu'awwidhat (Surahs Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas) upon oneself and blow, and to place one's hand on the painful area and say: "Bismillah (in the name of Allah)" three times, then seven times: "A'udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhir (I seek refuge in Allah and His power from the evil of what I find and what I fear)." Visiting doctors and taking medicine does not contradict reliance on Allah, for healing comes from Him, the Almighty.
