Should one seek to please one's parents in worldly matters and serve them in such, or is it better to teach them religion and offer them advice, even if they prefer worldly service?

The rights of parents are great. Allah has associated His right with their rights in the Qur’an, and it is stated in the Hadith: "The Lord's pleasure is in the parent's pleasure, and the Lord's displeasure is in the parent's displeasure." Therefore, one should strive to please parents by all means, whether through worldly matters or by teaching them good, and there is no contradiction between these means.
