Should one offer advice regarding weak hadiths and the prolonged call to prayer (adhan) and sending blessings upon the Prophet in Friday sermons, or is the matter not an individual responsibility? And did Jacob weep over Joseph (peace be upon them both) or did he endure and seek reward from God?

The Hadith: "One who repents from sin is like one who has no sin" has been declared Hasan (good) by some scholars. Before denouncing any act, one must verify that it is truly an evil in the Sharia by asking the people of knowledge, and then clarify it with gentleness and kindness, for the abundance of evil does not prevent its denouncement. Prolonging and beautifying the voice in the Adhan (call to prayer) are prescribed, whereas excessive stretching and exaggerated melodic recitation are not. Sending prayers upon the Prophet after the Adhan is prescribed, but raising the voice with it and associating it with the Adhan in a way that suggests it is part of it is not prescribed. Jacob's weeping over Joseph was out of sorrow, which does not contradict patience, for tears from the eye and grief in the heart are not held against one by Allah, as long as they are not accompanied by discontent with divine decree.
