Is it permissible to offer a gift to an official in the Hajj Authority in exchange for including a name among the pilgrims exempted from the lottery, knowing that the Authority exempts 40% of applicants and that the name has not appeared in previous lotteries?

It is not permissible for an employee or official in a Hajj authority to accept money or gifts in exchange for including names on the list of pilgrims, because these are forbidden gifts to workers. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, established the prohibition of this, and clarified that whoever takes something because of his work will bring it on the Day of Resurrection. As for someone who wishes to perform Hajj, it is permissible for him to give money to reclaim his right if he was deprived of it after becoming entitled to it, but it is forbidden for the recipient. If he has no right, then it is not permissible for him to pay a bribe. Bribery is forbidden for both the giver and the taker, as the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the briber and the bribed.
