Is it true that repeating the noble verse: ﴿وَزَيَّنَّاهَا لِلنَّاظِرِينَ﴾ [And We adorned it for those who behold (it)] with the intention of adornment and beautification in the eyes of people, and before going out to occasions, is a prescribed act, or is it an innovation (bid‘ah)?

There is no ذكر (remembrance/supplication) to be recited for a person to become beautiful in the eyes of people. The phrase "and We adorned it for the observers" (Qur'an 15:16) is not a supplication; rather, it is a statement about the adornment of the sky with stars. Repeating it does not bring about beauty, as this would be attributing to Allah that of which one has no knowledge. It is permissible for a person to say, "O Allah, adorn me for the observers." One must be cautious of lying, charlatanism, and innovation. A person's beauty can be either good or evil, for perhaps it may bring about the evil eye or envy. Therefore, a believer should ask Allah for what benefits them.
