What is the ruling on dealing with a person who claims to be a spiritual healer and has a Muslim angel helping him, and who requests photos of body parts and names of family members, and threatens to afflict the person with jinn possession and black magic if he is not obeyed? And is it permissible to report him?

The man mentioned is a charlatan or a sorcerer. Pious people do not praise themselves or seek what is unlawful for them to see. It is not permissible to ask him anything or believe him, due to the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Whoever comes to a soothsayer and asks him about anything, his prayer will not be accepted for forty nights." He must be prevented from communicating, and threatened with reporting him to the authorities if he persists. Seek refuge in Allah, cling to Him, and protect yourselves with the morning and evening dhikr (remembrances), for he cannot cause harm except by Allah's permission. If you suspect you have been afflicted by magic, then you must perform legal ruqyah. It is best for each of you to perform ruqyah on yourselves, or seek help from people of sound creed and uprightness.
