Verses have indicated the unlawfulness of humans benefiting from jinn, and that whoever does so is threatened with Hellfire. One who seeks assistance from jinn does not become an infidel, but is subject to a severe disciplinary punishment short of execution, for committing a grave sin.

This must be explained to the husband and relatives, clarifying that only Allah is the one who benefits and harms, and that reliance upon Him alone is what protects from fear. The Muslim woman must avoid these practices and not allow anyone to perform them with her or her children.
