Is a colleague of the claimant capable of expelling jinn, knowing people's conditions through inspiration, and healing illnesses by touch, truthful, or is he dealing with jinn? And does this action fall within the scope of Islam? And what is the meaning of Sufism, and does what he does fall under it?

Exerting effort to expel devils and treat illnesses is permissible through ruqyah shar'iyyah (Islamic incantations) and permissible, tried and tested remedies. However, treatment through dealing with jinn is religiously forbidden. As for inspiration (ilham), it may occur to some of Allah's servants, and it can be trusted in ordinary matters if its recipient is a just person adhering to the Sunnah. Nevertheless, it is not to be acted upon in matters of sharia.
