Is it permissible or forbidden to deal with Jinn and seek their help?

Using jinn to inflict harm upon others or to protect oneself from evil is polytheism (shirk) against Allah. Whoever does so has no prayer accepted and no fasting accepted, because Allah Almighty says: "If you associate [anything] with Me, your work will surely become worthless, and you will surely be among the losers." (Quran 39:65). And whoever is known to do this, when they die, no funeral prayer should be offered for them, their funeral should not be followed, and they should not be buried in Muslim cemeteries.

It is not permissible to use jinn for treatment or for fulfilling needs, and it is not permissible for people to go to those who do so. Rather, they should seek treatment through permissible medicines. Whoever comes to a diviner or a soothsayer and asks them about something, their prayer will not be accepted for forty nights. And whoever believes them has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad.

The man who uses jinn and his jinn companions are considered diviners and soothsayers, so it is not permissible to ask them or to believe them.
